If you are one (or aspire to be one in the future) who is curious about the classical method and may have never used all the Pilates equipment our studio offers, we would live to meet you. This is ideal if you did your research about Eli and you are looking for continuing education through lessons, or if you are on vacation in Athens and want to experience some special Pilates sessions!
We promise you a session with excellent spotting, so get ready to learn at least something new about your body and feel free to ask any questions!

600-HOUR TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
IN THE CLASSICAL PILATES METHOD

This training in the Classical Pilates Method is designed for those who wish to deeply immerse themselves in teaching the authentic system created by Joseph Pilates. The program offers comprehensive education across all levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—using all apparatuses of the method, with a strong focus on the precise transmission of technique, teaching skills, and the philosophy behind the method.

Before the Start

Before the program begins, participants will need to attend a few classes at the studio in order to:
• get familiar with the Classical Method equipment,
• meet the instructor who will guide them through their training,
• gain an initial understanding of the method’s content.

Program Structure – 600 Hours

The program is built around three core pillars:
1. Observation and Personal Practice – 300 hours
Includes attending Elisabeth’s sessions with studio clients—followed by Q&A on exercise selection based on the clients’ individual needs—and personal practice of the repertoire under supervision.
2. Supervised Teaching – 200 hours
Teaching volunteer clients or fellow trainees under guidance.
3. Independent Teaching – 100 hours
Gradual assumption of responsibility and autonomy in teaching, with the aim of preparing for real-world professional practice.

Workshops – Training Weekends

The program includes three 3-day intensive workshops (BASIC, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED LEVEL).
These must be attended in order, as they are structured by level of difficulty, and cover:

• Reformer
• Cadillac / Tower Wall Unit
• Ladder Barrel, Small Barrel, Spine Corrector
• Wunda Chair, High Chair, Baby Chair
• Ped-o-Pull
• Foot Corrector & Toe Corrector, Breath-a-cizer
• Mat Exercises

Educational Materials & Approach

The training is based on the original program developed by Romana Kryzanowska.
It includes:
• breakdown of each individual exercise,
• the method as a comprehensive system,
• modifications for physical limitations and conditions,
• hands-on guidance and equipment safety.

Examinations

Exams are conducted at three levels:
Beginner – Intermediate – Advanced

Each exam includes:
• Teaching a private session to a client with limitations or injuries
• Evaluation of exercise selection and application
• Oral questions regarding the chosen program

Successful completion of each exam is required to advance to the next level.

Full Support Throughout the Program

Studio space is available for practice at no additional cost. Observation of Elisabeth’s sessions with her regular students is available at all hours, as she teaches extensively throughout the week.

Trainees are also expected to participate, with additional cost, in:
• Group mat and equipment classes
• Private sessions with the instructor

The goal is a deep understanding of the method and the development of confident, safe, and skillful teachers.
