MEET OUR TEAM:

Elizabeth Ourania Tsoureka, founder & teacher

Education

Elizabeth initially studied business administration. In 2014, she experienced persistent body pains due to her professional activities at the time. After researching online, she discovered the benefits of the classical Pilates method and began taking classes at a studio that specialized in the authentic method. After some years of training directly with a student of Romana Kryzanowska—a protégée of Joseph Pilates himself—she started her first formal comprehensive training program at The New York Pilates Studio.
In 2020, she continued with another bridging classical program. Since then, she has participated in seminars with talented instructors such as Katie Yip, Alexandra Bohlinger, Jean Claude Nelson, Michael Johnson, Lori Coleman-Brown, Gloria Gasperi, Gloria Gasperi, Murat Berkin, Lesley Bell etc. She also continues to enhance her expertise by attending seminars for special populations and specific health issues.

Get to know her:
Elli has personal experience with injuries and conditions, having suffered from a wrist fracture and toe fracture, as well as serious injuries from improper osteopathic manipulations on both knees, which prevented her from walking for months. She believes these experiences have made her stronger and have deepened her empathy towards her students, allowing her to lead more effective and encouraging training sessions.
Elizabeth is well known between her teachers and colleagues for her curiosity , and eagerness to learn more. She loves to write down everything during her trainings and still likes to read her old notes.
She has openness to feedback that is why she always asks her students during an execution of an exercise what do they feel as she believes its body is unique and communication is important in order to see a quicker change.
She brings unmatched enthusiasm and a heartfelt passion for pilates that energizes every session. Driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of Pilates, she helps  each client discover their own potential for improved health, increased strength, and even gain back self-confidence.
She thinks it’s pure joy when people reach their goals or find ones that didn’t know they needed!

In 2021 she opened her own Pilates studio, Pucka. Her main goal is to change people’s lives , transform their body movement or even take away their pain.

Εlia Zacharioudaki, teacher

Elia, after a long career as an actress and performance artist, has now dedicated herself exclusively to teaching Pilates. She has trained (over 600 hours) in the classical Pilates method under Margarita Efthymiou, a second-generation teacher, and continues to attend seminars with renowned instructors such as Jay Grimes, Mejo Wiggin, Lori Coleman-Brown, Gloria Gasperi, Murat Berkin, Lesley Bell, etc.

She discovered the Pilates method during her search for an exercise approach that combines strength, endurance, and flexibility. As she began her training in the method, she realized how seemingly innocent daily habits and tasks, stress, and the fatigue of everyday life can wear down and strain the body.

As a teacher, her goal is to cultivate a balanced approach to strength and flexibility, body awareness, and control so that her students, leaving the class, incorporate the principles of the method either into their daily lives or into other types of exercise they choose.
